A LITTLE CHAOS - from Alan Rickman

I've just had the pleasure of a Brisbane preview of A LITTLE CHAOS at the Barracks Cinema, thanks to a Queensland Writers' Centre's promotional ticket giveaway. Here's my review.
.
Andre Le Notre (Matthias Schoenaerts), principal gardener to Louis XIV of France, is no alpha male hero, but quiet and compelling, he is the sexiest gardener/landscape architect I've encountered!
For Madame Sabine de Barra (Kate Winslet) gardening is a balm for her tragic past. When she's chosen by De Notre to create the water feature (Rockwork Garden) at Louis' Versailles, Sabine finds she's entered a world where sabotage and betrayal are acceptable.
Le Notre is fascinated by Sabine even before her interview for the job, when she moves one of his perfectly-aligned potted plants to create chaos in his ordered garden.
The story follows a sinuous path through the sumptuous world of the Sun King's court to its glorious ending. Fans of well-produced period movies will love this one.
